Many of our products are carried in stock, others are available by special order. We can supply powders in bulk or packed in small quantities to suit individual customer requirements. Our powders can be supplied vacuum packed in foil bags to help preserve shelf-life.

Product areas of application are many and varied, including diamond tooling, mechanical plating, protective coatings, lubricants, cold metal spray, cold casting and powder metallurgy parts.

A UK metal powder supplier since 1945

Ronald Britton has been a metal powder supplier to UK industry for over 80 years. We supply spherical, irregular, dendritic, flake and sponge-form powders in copper, bronze, brass, iron, aluminium, tin, zinc, silver, nickel and stainless steel, along with custom alloys including copper-tin-silver blends for specialist brazing and matrix bonding. Powders are held in UK stock at our Rochdale facility for next-day dispatch, supplied with full Technical Data Sheet, Safety Data Sheet and Certificate of Analysis documentation, and exported to over 20 countries with hazardous-goods compliance built in.

Industries we supply

Our metal powders are specified across diamond tool manufacture, powder metallurgy, anti-corrosion and decorative coatings, additive manufacturing and 3D printing, cold metal spraying for architectural and decorative work, cold casting for sculpture and composites, friction materials for the automotive industry, brazing and joining pastes, conductive inks and printed electronics, and antimicrobial copper surfaces for healthcare and public buildings. We work with engineers, formulators, procurement teams and small specialist studios alike, on sample lots through to multi-tonne production contracts on consistent commercial terms.

Why specifiers choose Ronald Britton

We hold ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications and are rated EcoVadis Silver, placing us in the top quarter of companies worldwide for sustainability, labour practices and ethics. We are independent and UK-owned, with British heritage going back to 1945, and we ship to a worldwide customer base from a single Rochdale site. We are big enough to serve serious industrial demand, small enough to take the time to specify a powder properly for the process. There is no rigid minimum order quantity; we run sample lots for development, pilot quantities for trial, and production volumes for series on consistent commercial terms.
