Irregular copper powders produced by water-atomising and available in differing particle sizes and composition.
The range includes Normal Low Density (NLD) and Hymod (H) coppers, having low to medium apparent density and offering good green strength and compressibility. Pure copper is also available where low impurities are demanded.
The powders are produced with low lead content and good batch to batch reproducibility.
Irregular copper powders are used in numerous applications such as catalysts, anti-fouling paint, conductive oils and greases, carbon brushes, resin-bonded brake parts, diamond tooling, welding and brazing, cold casting and cold metal spray. Copper powder is also added to iron powder to improve the properties of sintered parts.
